Grateful for 2023! It’s been a while, and I just want to express my heartfelt thanks for the unwavering support. I feel incredibly fortunate to have an amazing and supportive backbone – my family, friends, teachers, and community. Whether connected by blood or not, we’re a family in every sense. Your continuous reminders to keep smiling, serving, and praying mean the world as I step into 2024. Let’s keep spreading positive vibes wherever we go. As I step into 2024, there’s a lot to be grateful for, and words can’t capture it all. This year has been about growth, self-reflection, and inspiration. With college applications submitted and awaiting admission results, I’m thankful for the privilege to apply and the chance to pursue a college education.

Gratitude fills me as I look back—from writing numerous essays to reflecting on my journey, from traveling to India to navigating childhood years without knowing English, and the guidance from my swimming and karate instructors.

In 2024, my guiding principles for college continue to be to SMILE, SERVE, and PRAY. Whether I am Smiling with family or friends, Serving my community, or Praying for guidance and strength. These principles will shape my college experience and help me navigate the challenges and opportunities that come my way.

The most epic moment was closing the year with a blend of all three. Our annual family Christmas party hosted by my uncle was a beautiful culmination. We served the community when making four playhouses, offered prayers of gratitude, and smiled along the way. It was a family event that showcased how we can incorporate all three elements.
